The Movie in the Park event that was originally scheduled for Sunday August 7th has been moved to September 23rd.
Movie in the park September 23rd starting at 7pm behind the Crestmont Hall. CCA providing snacks for purchase at the event.
It is that time of year again on June 26th, 2016 (9am – 1:30pm) when all of Crestmont gets out to clean up their yards, garages, and basements and gathers up the debris and garbage to bring down to the Crestmont Hall where the City of Calgary has packer trucks waiting. GEEP will also have bins for electronics and the Crestmont Community Association will have food, coffee and snacks.
Make it a fun day for your family! We will have pick-up sticks, vests, gloves and garbage bags at the hall so you can take your family out into the neighbourhood green spaces to pick up garbage and debris that blow in from the wind.
This is a FREE event for everyone, although we encourage you to get or renew your Crestmont Community Association Membership if you have not already done so.

We will also set up a free table for items that are still in good condition that you no longer wish to keep. Someone else in the community may be able to use it. It’s all about recycling items in a safe manner.
This is a family friendly event and a good way to teach our children the value of keeping all our spaces clean and to feel like they can contribute in a positive way by giving back to their community.
Please check back here for any updates / changes prior to June 26th.
On June 18th, the CCA with MLA Deborah Drever and the City of Calgary are throwing a community Block Party from 12pm – 3pm to celebrate Neighbour Day!
The party will be on the west side of the storm water pond at the end of the 500 block of Cresthaven Place (see map above). There will be Spolumbo’s Sausages and buns, drinks, prizes, games and fun for all ages. Just look for the big bouncy house and all the happy people enjoying the company of their neighbours.
Stay informed and visit our website for all the details and any last-minute changes.
Please R.S.V.P. for this event as we would like to make sure there is enough food etc.
We look forward to seeing everyone out for this wonderful event.
Have you ever noticed that your junk is “stuff” and everyone else’s stuff is “junk”? Well get the stuff that you no longer need, and instead of making it into actual junk, sell it to someone else so it can be their stuff instead!
On May 28th, the Crestmont Community Association is joining forces with the Valley Ridge Community Association to put together a MASSIVE multi-community garage sale. The garage sale will run from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm and will be advertised in the Calgary Herald, the Valley Breeze and the Crestmont Courier.
Maps of both communities with all participating homes will be made available prior to the garage sale at the Crestmont Hall as well as the Valley Ridge gas station, pharmacy, liquor store, Van Gogh’s, and Kijiji. To have your home added to the list, and make some money on your spring cleaning, please visit www.crestmontcommunity.org/events-calendar/garage-sale-application/. You can add your address and a brief description of what you are selling.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Community Safety Chat with Constable Price on May 10th. This was a very informative session and we learned a few key points:
Hey Crestmont, did you know we have our very own Police Constable assigned to our neighbourhood ?
On May 10th, 7pm at the Crestmont Hall Constable Damian Price will be in Crestmont presenting an informative session on how to keep our community safe.
Crestmont is a quiet neighbourhood, however if you view the Calgary Police Service’s Crimes Web Mapping Application there have been 21 incidents of crime in our area in the last 6 months. Keep in mind that those are only the crimes that have been reported. Crestmont homeowners should learn how to effectively report crime and learn to be a good neighbor so we can all help support the residents of this wonderful community.
I hope you can make the time to come down to the Crestmont Hall on May 10th to meet your neighbors, Constable Price and members of the Crestmont Community Association board. We look forward to meeting you.
Just a reminder that tomorrow (April 8th) at 7:00pm at the Crestmont Hall is the Annual General Meeting for your Crestmont Community Association and we need your support.
There are a number of important items to discuss including changes to our bylaws, area development updates and news regarding the Crestmont community and events that we are planning for 2016.
We will also have coffee and snacks to keep your tummy happy.
Please come out and show your support. Membership sales can be processed at the hall if you don’t already have yours or need to renew.
Grab your neighbours and come on down.
