CCA AGM Tonight!
Just a reminder that tonight is the annual Crestmont Community Association Annual General Meeting. Please come and help elect our new board of directors for 2019/2020. There are positions available if you are interested in volunteering.
In addition to some snacks and refreshments, we have an evening planned full of great information for Crestmont community residents. Please join us and learn more about our organization, updates on all the development happening in and around Crestmont, and hear from one of our local kids who is attempting to put together a Crestmont Kids Council.
Parents of children 10 – 16, please invite your children along to the AGM and encourage them to join the Crestmont Kids’ Council.
Compost Your Real Christmas Tree
Cut your tree into smaller pieces to put into your green cart. Make sure the lid can close.
If your green cart is full, tie extra branches (no more than four feet long) together with a natural fibre string or place them in paper yard waste bags. Set tied branches or yard waste bags at least one foot from the side of your green cart.
You can also bring your Christmas tree to a tree drop-off from December 26 to January 31.

How to prepare your tree

• Do not wrap or bag your tree.

Please stop by, we look forward to seeing you!
Community Garden Opportunity
Through the remediation following the emptying of the storm drainage pond at the bottom of Crestmont, an opportunity has arisen to create a community garden. This project would need to be led by a dedicated team of volunteers. For more information about the location and scope of the project, or to volunteer, please email Megan Brayshaw, CCA secretary, at meganb@crestmontcommunity.org
