Area Development Open House January 22nd

CommunityYour Crestmont Community Association is having an event on January 22nd from 1pm – 3pm at the Crestmont Hall.

We are expecting to have representatives from the three big developments that are planned for the areas surrounding Crestmont including Qualico, Shape, and Capital One.  There will be land use plans and information displayed as well so you can find out what is in the works regarding both commercial and residential development around us.

We encourage you to make the effort to attend this open house event.  There will be a lot of information available and many of the development plans are in the crucial stages of getting approval so your opinion counts.  Please tell your neighbors as well, if everyone tells just one neighbor then the whole community will know.

This post will be updated as more information is available.  If you are not already on our email list, please sign up now at the top right side of our web page.

Thank You,

Al Del Degan

Spooky Family Fun

Halloween PartyThe first annual Halloween party turned out even better than we had anticipated.  So many people turned out we ran out of cookies and cupcakes in the first hour.  There was spooky crafts and coloring pages along with pin the tail on the cat, story corner, food and appropriate spooky music.  There was even a freaky haunted house in the kitchen with it’s own haunted guardian.  Did you get a chance to stick your hand in the sink???  Warm thanks goes out to all who attended and also to the Crestmont Community Association board and volunteers for putting together a fun family event.

Here is the photo album with shots from this event:

Your Crestmont Community Association has booked the Crestmont Hall for the third Sunday of every month except December so we can have some regular family fun events.  Please stay tuned and check our calendar regularly to see what is going on.  If you have any suggestions for fun family events, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

2011 Stampede Breakfast

2011 Qualico Stampede Breakfast in CrestmontEvery year during the Stampede, Qualico puts on a stompin good time at the Crestmont Hall with their annual Stampede Breakfast.  There was a great turn out this year (Qualico reports 1,070 plates were served).  In addition, the Crestmont Community Association board members were on hand to meet more residents and pass on the information about our association.  We also told people about our online survey regarding living in Crestmont and the West View Area Structure Plan.

West View Area Structure Plan review at 2011 Qualico Stampede Breakfast in Crestmont

Qualico was on hand with some poster boards that showed the proposed layout of the lands directly west of Crestmont and there was some good discussion and interest.

If you haven’t already, please take a moment to fill out our short 10-question survey and provide us with your valuable feedback on living in Crestmont along with your views on the West Area development.  The Survey can be found here: ASP Survey.
